PASSAGE FIVE
THE END OF THE HOLOCAUSTÂ
In 1945, the Allied powers bombs finally defeated Nazi Germany to end World War II.1 Allied forces overran concentrations camps and liberated the surviving prisoners.1 They liberated the survivors of the death marches1. Some Jews survived and escaped Nazi-controlled Europe to immigrate into the United States and Great Britain, but six million Jews and millions of others were dead.1 Despite the end of the war, ongoing threats of violent antisemitism continued.1Many struggled with terrible thoughts because of the horrors experienced during the Holocaust and WW2.1
