On June 15, 1929, Anne Frank was born. In 1933, Frank and her family emigrated from Germany to Holland and her father worked as a managing director of the Dutch Opekta Company.1 Her father was also a partner with the firm Ges & Co..1 In 1940, the German's arrived and the family began to suffer as anti-Jewish decrees placed restrictions on the Jewish community.1 These decrees included that Jews must wear a yellow star at all times, attend Jewish schools, and could not longer drive.1 On July 9, 1942, Frank and her family went into hiding. This novel is an orginal diary written by Frank during the holocaust.1
